Today were continuing our overland build and preparing for adventure and doing a review on the Treeline tent (rooftop tent) PONDEROSA CONSTELLATION three to four person and four season tent. I did a lot of research on tents and I'd like to share some of the hidden secrets that their not going to tell you on their tents. I'd like to share with you all the information you need to know about quality, everything from the tents bases, to the body of the tent and its GSM or Grams Per Square meter or (D) Denier and what to focus on. I'd like to share what my top three things to focus on when buying a tent. One of the dirty little secrets is their foam filled bases or sandwich bases. One of my primary criteria was to find he strongest base possible. The tent we are reviewing today has a aluminium honeycomb base design that is also used by NASA. They use is for its strength, insulation value, its ability to hold weight and it has no maximum weight capacity. Here's the dirty little secret thou. Tent manufactures will talk about things like Polyethylene, polyurethane, EPA, EPV, high strength foam poly, diamond plate. But when you look into the finer details and you ask manufactures how thick there aluminium is or how thick their diamond plate is they usually don't have an answer. Even worse when you look deeper you'll see that their bases are foam filled and can only hold up to 650 pounds. Treelines tent is much stronger and does not have a maximum weight its how much can your rack can hold. Their tent body is 380 GSM which is one of the thickest wind resistant, moisture resistant, cold insulating and keeps the light out so you can sleep in. Treelines rooftop tent comes with two skylights and 360 degree view. Its also has a 2.5 inch mattress and sleeps two adults and two kids not problem. The annex has a large window which brings light in. The tent poles have Condensation sleeves on all exposed metal frames. It can easily hold four sleeping bags. This four season tents is one of the most advanced rooftop tents in the world .
